The Office of the Chief Engineer, College Education Works, Hyderabad, has announced new government job opportunities for 2026 in various government colleges ofthe  Hyderabad Region. These vacancies are offered under the College Education Department, Government of Sindh, and applications are invited from eligible candidates holding a domicile of Hyderabad Division. Recruitment will be carried out strictly in accordance with Sindh Government rules and regulations.

Available Vacancies

Multiple posts have been announced in different Basic Pay Scales. The available positions include Junior Scale Stenographer, Computer Operator, Sub Engineer Civil, Sub Engineer Electrical, Draughtsman, Draftsman, Junior Clerk, and Work Mistry / Work Supervisor / Darogha. These posts are distributed across different government colleges under the administrative control of the Regional Directorate of Colleges, Hyderabad.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualifications vary according to the post. Candidates must possess qualifications such as a Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 2nd Division), a Graduate with a Diploma in Computer Science, a BE / B.Tech or a three-year Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or Matriculation with at least “C” Grade from a recognized board. Relevant technical certificates, shorthand and typing skills, MS Office certification, or diplomas from HEC, SBTE, or STEVTA-recognized institutes are required for specific posts.

Age Limit

The minimum age requirement is between 18 and 21 years, depending on the post, while the maximum age limit is 28 years. Age will be calculated as per Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 2024. General age relaxation of up to 5 years will be admissible in accordance with the Government of Sindh policy.

Screening Test Requirement

Applicants must have passed the General Screening Test (Graduation Category) conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS) with at least 40% marks. A valid STS certificate is mandatory and must be available at the time of appointment; candidature will not be considered.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the Departmental Selection Committee. Candidates must bring original documents at the time of the interview for verification. Government employees are required to apply through the proper channel and submit a valid NOC. No TA or DA will be admissible for the interview.
