Age Limit

For the post of Sergeant (BS-07), the age limit is 18 to 26 years, and no age relaxation is allowed.
For STRIKE posts, candidates must be 35 to 50 years of age.

Educational Qualification

For Sergeant (BS-07), candidates must have passed Intermediate from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
For STRIKE posts, candidates must have Matriculation from a recognized board along with a minimum 6-month training course from a Law Enforcement Agency or Armed Forces and at least 10 years of service experience in LEAs or Armed Forces.

Physical Standards for Sergeant (BS-07)

Male candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches (173 cm), chest measurement 33 inches with expansion, and must complete 1 mile running in 7 minutes.
Female candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches (162 cm) and must complete 1 mile running in 11 minutes.

Domicile and Posting

Only candidates holding a Punjab domicile are eligible to apply. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in Punjab, preferably in their concerned district, depending on departmental requirements.

Nature of Job

The post of Sergeant (BS-07) is a regular and permanent Punjab Government job.
All STRIKE posts are contract-based for three years and can be extended on satisfactory performance.
